Masks

Everyone in the show pulls one on, agent and V.E.N.O.M. operative alike, and it gives the wearer a single power: Spectrum's control of light, Viper's corrosive spit, Jackrabbit's short hop into the air. On the Kenner toys it was a separate accessory packed with a vehicle or a figure, and in the cartoon it is the team's weapon. Most agents own several, usually a different one for each vehicle, so these entries link out to the wearer, the vehicle and the toy.

The powers on these pages come from three places that do not always agree: the fan wiki on Fandom, Wikipedia's list of toys and characters, and the agent profiles on Matt-Trakker.com. Each page says where they split. The episode lists are the fan wiki's, linked to our own guides.

  • Arrow. Jungle Challenge adventure pack, 1986. Wikipedia lists it for Matt Trakker as thunderbolts; our toy record names the mask and no more.
  • Laser Flash. Laser Command set, 1987. The mask is named on our toy record; none of the sources we read describes a power.
  • Raynet. Laser Command set, 1987. Named on our toy record; no source we read describes it.

Wikipedia's list also gives most Series 4 vehicles a second, upgraded mask with a New prefix that makes a holographic double of the wearer, for example New Spectrum, New Lifter and New Viper. The toy records we hold list those pieces under the plain mask name, so the individual pages mention the New version where Wikipedia names one.
