The Boulder Hill Briefing

Boulder Hill is where Matt Trakker kept the team's gear, which makes it a fair address for a newsletter that collects the dispatches worth keeping. The Briefing gathers the week's M.A.S.K. news in one place: new toy waves and preorders, comic issues and collected editions, convention exclusives, and the occasional collecting find that deserved more than a line on the news page.

It is written by the same desk that runs the news page, and it goes out when there is something to say rather than on a fixed day, because a newsletter padded to meet a schedule is a worse read than one that waits. Every item links back to the page on this site that carries the detail, so the email is a doorway and the record stays here.

What lands in it

Release news comes first, with the retailer and the date as we could confirm them, and with any disagreement between sources set out rather than smoothed over. Comics follow, covering new issues, reprints and the covers behind them, then the finds from the collecting side: grails, auction results and the odd piece of paper that changes a date in the history. Where we do not know something, the Briefing says so.
