Penetrator is Buddie Hawks’s main mask. He wears it at the Boulder Hill garage and when he drives or co-drives Firecracker or Hurricane, and its power is to make him, and in the fan wiki’s account the vehicle he is sitting in, insubstantial enough to pass through walls and let attacks go straight through. Highway to Terror shows the second use, when Sly Rax attacks him with his Stiletto mask and the attack goes straight through him.
The fan wiki lists it in sixteen first-season episodes, from The Deathstone to Gate of Darkness.
Kenner issued it with the Boulder Hill playset in 1985 and in the 1986 Alex Sector and Buddie Hawks two-pack. The fan wiki adds that the toy line’s original color guides gave this mask the working name Bodyguard, and another entry on the same wiki says that the Lifter mask was once called Penetrator. Those two statements fit together only if the names were reshuffled during development, and we have not found a primary source for either.
