Aura is Gloria Baker’s main mask, which she wears driving her own Shark or co-driving Gator or Thunderhawk. It surrounds her, her vehicle or another object with a protective field that absorbs energy and can return it to the source. The fan wiki gives an example: a missile explodes against the aura and the energy comes straight back as a laser beam. MASKFORCE confirms the plot beat in A Matter of Gravity, where Gloria uses Aura to turn the Gravity Weapon’s beam against Switchblade and jam its controls.
The fan wiki goes further than the other sources and describes the limits, saying that heavy repeated force overloads the mask, and that it can drain a vehicle’s power if the target is not insulated. It also says the mask can seal around her underwater with a small oxygen supply. Those details come from the wiki alone. Wikipedia’s character list says energy-absorbing shields, and Matt-Trakker.com says a shield generator that can fire energy back at an enemy.
The fan wiki also says Aura is known as Collider, and lists a second mask, New Collider, worn in the Stiletto vehicle, which makes a computer image of Gloria to operate the second vehicle. Our toy record for Stiletto lists a Collider Mask, and we found no Kenner toy record that lists Aura by name. Gloria’s debut, in The Star Chariot, is also the first listed use of the mask.
