Matt Trakker: M.A.S.K. leader, Thunderhawk, masks and toys

Matt Trakker is the hero of the 1985 DIC cartoon and the leader of its team of mask-wearing agents. A multimillionaire philanthropist, he flies the Thunderhawk, a red Camaro that becomes a jet, using the Spectrum mask, and he is the main opponent of V.E.N.O.M. boss Miles Mayhem.

Matt Trakker founded and leads the Mobile Armored Strike Kommand, the private team that opposes V.E.N.O.M. in the DIC cartoon. He is a multimillionaire philanthropist who pays for the operation, and Doug Stone voices him along with Bruce Sato, Hondo MacLean and Dusty Hayes.

His signature vehicle is Thunderhawk, a red Chevrolet Camaro that opens into a gull-winged jet, and his signature mask is Spectrum. Spectrum fires sound waves and lasers, lets him slow a fall, and shows him other parts of the visual spectrum. In the cartoon he also uses Ultra-Flash from the Rhino truck, Lava Shot from the Volcano monster truck, Shroud in the Goliath I race car, and New Spectrum in the Skybolt, which creates a holographic double. Thunderhawk and Rhino both appear in The Deathstone, the first episode.

The Kenner line gave him many figures. The first series packed him with Thunderhawk, and also with Rhino alongside Bruce Sato. The second put him in the Volcano, and a Laser Command crate pairing used a redress of Ultra-Flash called Lasertron.

In the racing season he is one of the drivers, and Where Eagles Dare, an early episode of that season, sets him against Lester Sludge.
