Miles Mayhem is the leader of V.E.N.O.M. and the main villain of the series. He flies the indigo Switchblade helicopter-jet and uses the Viper mask, which spits corrosive poison. Brendan McKane voices him in the cartoon.
Miles Mayhem leads V.E.N.O.M., the Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem. Brendan McKane voices him in the cartoon. A summary of the cartoon calls him Matt Trakker’s former business partner, and a fan site describes him as a man with a distinctive mustache who often retreats when things go wrong.
His origin shifts by source. In the comics, he kills Matt’s brother Andy, steals half the masks and becomes an arms dealer. One account of the cartoon repeats that he betrayed Matt and killed Andy; another says the cartoon leaves his origins vague while still treating him as a co-founder who split from Matt.
His main vehicle is Switchblade, an indigo helicopter that becomes a jet, with the Viper mask, in the first episode and the first Kenner series. Second-series Miles shares Outlaw, a black Mack tanker, with Nash Gorey; that vehicle’s mask, Python, fires a gripping wire. Others are Venom’s Revenge (Ripper), Wolfbeast (New Viper) and the Buzzard race car, which has Flexor. In the racing season he pilots one of the Buzzard’s two dragsters while Maximus drives the other.
The cartoon also gives him the Magma Mole drilling machine and the Blackout power-draining machine, both of which Matt’s team destroys.
