Outlaw is a black Mack tanker truck that transforms into an assault installation and mobile command center. Kenner released it in Series Two in 1986.
The toy came with two V.E.N.O.M. figures. Miles “Wolf” Mayhem has the Python mask, which fires a gripping wire. Nash “Goon” Gorey has the Powerhouse mask, which multiplies his strength. A collector guide lists a pop-up turret, a fanged grappling hook launcher, a rattler fire howitzer, dual radar scanners, a power pack with cable, a sliding console cockpit, and a rotating tanker top with a computer command center. A fan review describes the toy’s hoses and satellite dishes as the mobile headquarters.
In the cartoon Outlaw debuts in episode 47, “The Lost Fleet,” and is painted midnight blue. Gorey frequently runs it alone while Mayhem flies Switchblade, so the cartoon splits the toy’s two crew members into two vehicles. The Powerhouse mask is called Samson in several episodes.
Gorey is a meek hacker and surveillance specialist whose first episode appearance is the same episode as the truck’s.
