Buzzard is a Formula One car that splits into a drone-controlled jet fighter and two smaller assault dragsters. Miles “Wolf” Mayhem controls one dragster and his twin brother Maximus controls the other. A collector guide describes it as a race car that converts into a land and air squad.
Kenner released it in Series Three in 1987. The guide lists meltor cannons, slicer cannons, a detachable hang glider, extending wings and the two separating dragsters.
Miles wears the Flexor mask, which fires a flexible energy shield. Maximus wears Deep Freeze, which fires a cold energy ray. One collector guide gives different masks for the same toy, so the Wikipedia version is used here.
In the cartoon Buzzard debuts in episode 67, in the racing season. Maximus Mayhem is the weak-willed twin who wears a monocle over his left eye, and Miles calls him “Maxie.” Maximus is featured mainly in the racing episodes and has no other Kenner vehicle, though he appears with Bruno Sheppard in the European Racing Arena pack.
