Wolfbeast is a blue Corvette Stingray that splits into a tank and a gunner’s shuttle. It belongs to V.E.N.O.M. leader Miles “Wolf” Mayhem, who co-founded M.A.S.K. with Matt Trakker before a rift between them.
Kenner released it in the Split Seconds series. A collector guide lists a heat rocket, jet thrusters, machine guns, gatling guns and high-powered missiles. The package includes a translucent Computer Image figure of Mayhem.
Mayhem’s mask is New Viper, which projects a holographic clone. The original Viper spits a corrosive poison and came with Switchblade.
Wolfbeast did not appear in the cartoon. Mayhem’s earlier Kenner vehicles are Switchblade, Outlaw and Buzzard, and he also appears in the Venom’s Revenge pack and with Ratfang in Laser Command. Brendan McKane voices Mayhem in the cartoon. The other V.E.N.O.M. vehicles in the line are Barracuda and Vandal. Two planned Split Seconds toys, the agents’ Ramp-Up and V.E.N.O.M.’s Thunderball, were never released.
