Andy Trakker is Matt’s younger brother and the inventor behind the technology both sides use. A cartoon information page calls him Matt’s late kid brother, whose inventions form the basis of both organizations.
The circumstances of his death vary. In the comics, Miles Mayhem kills Andy and steals half the masks to start V.E.N.O.M. A summary of the cartoon on Wikipedia says the same, while a reference list says the cartoon’s own version of the origin is vague, and mentions instead that Matt’s father Andrew received a power stone after saving a tribesman in New Guinea.
