About This Figure
Made by The Loyal Subjects under a Hasbro licence. Part of the 40th Edition Black and Gold collection announced in July and August 2025. Not found as a standalone listing in the maker collection fetched on 2026-11-01.
The 40th Edition Mobile Defense Unit is the black and gold version of the Rhino truck that The Loyal Subjects offered through its own shop from 8 July 2025, a day when its direct pre-orders opened after the Big Bad Toy Store listing had gone up the week before. The Toyark gave the price as $150. The truck keeps the battering ram and the Recon Rover mini vehicle and opens into a Mobile Defense Fortress, and it should not be confused with the magenta Mobile Defense Unit with Scott and T-Bob that was the San Diego Comic-Con exclusive.
The sources disagree about how it was sold. The July report describes a standalone $150 release, while the August assortment announcement lists the Mobile Defense Unit as bundle only. We have treated both as true for different weeks and have not found which one held at the end.
