Skybolt is Matt Trakker’s Split Seconds vehicle. Wikipedia describes it as a McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II jet fighter that splits into a turbo-boost car and an aerial attack craft. A collector guide describes a jet fighter and thruster car that can become a rocket.
Kenner released it in the Split Seconds series. The listed features are a nose missile, a launching fin and dual-flap wings. The package includes a translucent Computer Image figure of Trakker.
Trakker’s mask is New Spectrum, which also creates a holographic double. The original Spectrum on Thunderhawk fires soundwaves, gives limited free-fall flight, fires a laser and shows other visual spectrums.
Skybolt did not appear in the cartoon. Trakker’s other Kenner vehicles are Thunderhawk, Rhino, Volcano and Goliath, and the Jungle Challenge and Coast Patrol packs. In the cartoon Trakker is voiced by Doug Stone, and Wikipedia notes that the Split Seconds line came out a year after the animated series ended.
