Vampire is the vehicle of Floyd “Birdman” Malloy, a former biker gang leader, former IRS field auditor and convicted forger. It is a red Honda touring cycle that transforms into a single-pilot turbo jet.
Kenner released it in Series Two in 1986. A collector guide lists a drop-down cowling shield, a boomerang atom blaster, dual raked wings with detonators, flip-up stabilizers, boom thrusters and retro rockets.
Malloy’s mask is Buckshot, which launches bearing balls. In Series Four he got a second vehicle, Vandal, with the New Buckshot mask.
In the cartoon Vampire debuts in episode 45, “The Spectre of Captain Kidd.”
Vampire was one of three V.E.N.O.M. vehicles in Series Two, alongside Outlaw and Stinger. Malloy’s figure was also sold in Europe in a paired release with Vanessa Warfield. Wikipedia describes Malloy as an expert street fighter, and Brendan McKane voices him in the cartoon. A collector guide calls the converted form a turbo cycle rather than a jet.
