Billboard Blast has no road-car disguise. Dusty “Powderkeg” Hayes drives a racing billboard that opens up to reveal a gun emplacement, which a collector guide describes as a launching platform.
Kenner released it in Series Three in 1987, the wave tied to the racing season of the cartoon. The listed features are a rotating gunner seat, flight turbines, two missiles, a propulsion post and a missile trigger.
Hayes uses the Vacuum mask, which creates pockets of vacuum energy. The collector guide puts it as the mask imitating the sucking up of dubious objects.
The Collector, a toll booth, and Pit Stop Catapult, a fueling station, are also roadside objects from the same wave. Hayes also drove Gator, from Series One, and Afterburner, from Series Four. Doug Stone voices Hayes in the cartoon. Hayes is a tracking and demolitions expert, and his civilian job is pizza cook and deliveryman.
